About me
My name is Laura, and I am a dedicated Registered Psychologist with over 10 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed Care, tailoring my approach to meet each person’s unique needs.

At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy should be a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space—one where you feel supported as you explore your experiences, strengths, and goals. I strive to create a collaborative relationship built on trust, where you feel empowered to discover your own resilience and capacity for growth.
I work primarily with adolescents and adults, supporting them through issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, addiction, self-esteem, and the impact of trauma. My approach is both evidence-based and deeply human: while I draw on proven therapeutic methods, I always keep your lived experience at the center of the process.
Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you—it’s about walking alongside you as you move toward greater clarity, self-understanding, and well-being. Whether you’re looking to build coping strategies, process difficult emotions, or simply have a space to be heard, I am here to support you every step of the way.

Mission

Connection
I believe that genuine connection is at the heart of effective therapy. Building a safe, trusting relationship allows us to explore challenges openly and work collaboratively toward growth and healing. When you feel seen, heard, and understood, it creates the foundation for meaningful change and lasting progress. I listen with empathy, stay fully present, and tailor our work to meet your unique needs and pace—so that you feel supported, respected, and truly understood throughout your journey

Clarity
I believe clarity is vital to creating a safe and effective therapeutic space. From the beginning, I aim to provide clear communication around goals, boundaries, and what you can expect from our work together. This helps build trust, reduces uncertainty, and allows us to stay grounded and focused throughout the process. I also support you in finding clarity within yourself—untangling thoughts, emotions, and patterns so you can move forward with greater confidence and intention

Change
One of the most meaningful parts of my work is witnessing the subtle and powerful ways change unfolds in therapy. Sometimes it’s a shift in perspective, a moment of self-compassion, or the courage to make a new choice. Change doesn’t always happen all at once—but over time, I see clients reconnect with their strengths, gain clarity, and begin to live with more freedom and authenticity. It’s a privilege to walk alongside that process.
