About

Laura Hall, MC | R. Psych.

My name is Laura, and I am a dedicated Registered Psychologist located in Calgary, Alberta with over 10 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and their families.

I specialize in comprehensive psychological assessments, including psychoeducational, ADHD, and gifted evaluations, as well as therapy using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed Care, tailoring my approach to meet each child and family’s unique needs.

A central part of my practice is helping parents better understand their child’s learning, attention, and development. Through thoughtful, thorough assessments, I aim to provide clear answers, highlight strengths, and offer practical recommendations that can be used at home and at school. My goal is to help families feel informed, supported, and confident in the next steps forward.

At the heart of my work is the belief that support should be provided in a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space. I build collaborative relationships with families, creating an environment where questions are welcomed and each child’s unique strengths are recognized and nurtured.

In addition to assessment work, I support adolescents and adults through challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, addiction, self-esteem, and the impact of trauma. My approach is both evidence-based and deeply human: while I draw on proven therapy methods, I always keep each person’s lived experience at the center of the process.

Whether you are seeking answers through an assessment or looking for therapy support, my role is to guide and support you and your child with clarity, care, and practical direction every step of the way.

Mission

Connection

Connection

I believe that genuine connection is at the heart of effective therapy. Building a safe, trusting relationship allows us to explore challenges openly and work collaboratively toward growth and healing. When you feel seen, heard, and understood, it creates the foundation for meaningful change and lasting progress. I listen with empathy, stay fully present, and tailor our work to meet your unique needs and pace—so that you feel supported, respected, and truly understood throughout your journey

Clarity

Clarity

I believe clarity is vital to creating a safe and effective therapeutic space. From the beginning, I aim to provide clear communication around goals, boundaries, and what you can expect from our work together. This helps build trust, reduces uncertainty, and allows us to stay grounded and focused throughout the process. I also support you in finding clarity within yourself—untangling thoughts, emotions, and patterns so you can move forward with greater confidence and intention

Change

Change

One of the most meaningful parts of my work is witnessing the subtle and powerful ways change unfolds in therapy. Sometimes it’s a shift in perspective, a moment of self-compassion, or the courage to make a new choice. Change doesn’t always happen all at once—but over time, I see clients reconnect with their strengths, gain clarity, and begin to live with more freedom and authenticity. It’s a privilege to walk alongside that process.
